Logical Topology
Hey Guys!!👋 Let's Learn about "Logical Topology"😊
Logical Topology is the arrangement of network devices and nodes to form a logical or physical structure. ….. The logical topology deals with network protocols that are used to control the data flow across the network. The ethernet protocol is the most common protocol used for logical topology .This Method used to pass information between workstations.
A network's logical topology is not necessarily the same as its physical topology. For example, twisted pair Ethernet is a logical bus topology in a physical star topology layout. While IBM's Token Ring is a logical ring topology, it is physically set up in a star topology.
01.Ethernet
- Networking protocol.
- Speed- Ethernet - 10mbps Fast Ethernet- 100mbps
- Users - Liner Bus, Star, Tree
- Transmission Force- Twisted pair , Coaxial cable
02. Local Talk
- Develop by Apple computer.
- Macintosh establishment of a peer to peer network as out need for additional software.
- Users- Liner Bus, Star, Tree
- Transmission Force- Twisted Pair
- Primary Disadvantage- Speed only 230kbps

Token Ring is a
computer networking technology used to build local area networks. It was
introduced by IBM in 1984, and standardized in 1989 as IEEE 802.5. It
uses a special three-byte frame called a token that is passed around a logical ring of workstations or servers.
